How Terraview Partners Centralized Investor Onboarding, Communications, and Transaction Tracking with Verivend

Terraview Partners, LLC is a boutique real estate development company based in Charleston, South Carolina. The firm works closely with sponsors, operators, and investors to structure and execute private market investment opportunities. Led by Dave Kowert, the firm brings together a network of investors to participate in specialized transactions — often coordinating complex capital raises involving hundreds of participants.
As Terraview’s investor base expanded, the operational demands of managing subscriptions, capital flows, and investor communications grew quickly. With hundreds of investors participating across transactions, manual processes were becoming costly, time-consuming, and increasingly difficult to scale.
The firm needed a system that could simplify investor onboarding, streamline communications, and eliminate administrative friction — while still maintaining the high level of professionalism and responsiveness expected by sophisticated investors.
Why They Chose Verivend
Before implementing Verivend, Terraview relied on a traditional workflow involving an independent escrow bank and an external accounting firm to reconcile investor funds and prepare K-1 documentation.
This approach required the team to manually collect investor contact information, coordinate communications, and match incoming funds to individual investors. With more than 275 investors participating in transactions, this process created significant operational strain.

Reconciling investor wires presented another challenge. Multiple investors often fundedthe same commitment amounts at the same time, forcing accounting teams to manuallydetermine which deposits belonged to which investor.
The process was not only labor-intensive but expensive. Accounting teams worked undertight deadlines to reconcile transactions and generate K-1s by April 1 each year.
Verivend offered a fundamentally different approach.
By centralizing investor onboarding, communications, and transaction tracking withina single platform, Terraview could eliminate manual data entry while providing astreamlined experience for both the firm and its investors.
With Verivend, investor data is entered directly by the investors themselves and automatically integrated into the system, significantly reducing administrative overhead and the risk of errors.
The Impact of Verivend
With Verivend in place, Terraview was able to dramatically simplify its capital raise operations. Investor information is now fully centralized within the platform, with commitment percentages and data automatically synced into accounting workflows. When tax reporting season arrives, K-1 preparation is significantly faster — often generated with the push of a button.
Operationally, the improvements have been substantial. A process that previously required multiple personnel to manage reconciliation and investor coordination has been streamlined dramatically.
In one recent transaction, Terraview successfully raised over $17 million in approximately 10 days, with no investor issues or operational disruptions during the process. Investors were able to complete the process quickly and intuitively, while Terraview’s internal team focused on higher-value work instead of administrative follow-ups.
The improvements extended beyond efficiency. The platform also reduced hard operational costs, with Dave estimating that Verivend lowered expenses to roughly one-third to one-half of previous costs associated with escrow coordination and manual reconciliation.
Equally important was the investor experience. Despite the large number of participants, Terraview received no investor complaints or support issues throughout the process — a strong indicator that the system worked seamlessly even for investors with varying levels of technical familiarity.
